Zooz 800 XS Relay
With the Zooz XS Relay, you can add Z-Wave control to a 120 V lighting installation for greater convenience and energy efficiency, while keeping your smart home private and secure.
Key Features
On/Off Z-Wave Control
Use this relay for wireless and physical on/off control of lighting loads below 5 A. That’s approximately 500 W for incandescent bulbs or 150 W for LED bulbs at 120 V. Because LED bulbs are an inductive load, they draw in much more power at startup than traditional incandescent bulbs, which is why their rated load is lower. This relay is not intended for use with large appliances, fans, motors, switched receptacles, and any loads over 5 A.
Dry Contact Switch
Connect and control the relay from a wall switch (no Voltage on input, see diagram). For 3-way installations, line and load must be present in the same box.
Z-Wave Long Range
Extend your wireless coverage up to 1300 ft if your hub supports Long Range.
Compact Design
Designed to fit into even the most crowded installations, making it the perfect choice if you want to keep your existing switch style or wall plate color.
Scene Control
Choose from up to 7 multi-tap triggers to expand the functionality of the connected switch (available only on hubs that support multi-tap triggers).
Multicolor LED Indicator
The built-in LED indicator uses multiple colors to make troubleshooting easier.
Built-in Signal Repeater
The signal repeater helps you maintain a fast, reliable Z-Wave mesh network.
Smart Bulb Mode
Bypass mechanical/Z-Wave switching for always-on smart bulbs or custom automation.
Onboard Button
The relay is equipped with a Z-Wave button that can be used to turn the connected load on and off. You will also use the button to pair the device to your hub, and for factory resets if needed.
Auto Timers
Reliable on/off schedules that continue working even if your hub goes offline.
Notes
- The relay is compatible with quality LED bulbs (don’t connect to ballast tube lights, switched receptacles, or fans; FEIT bulbs are not recommended).
- If you are not comfortable identifying the wiring and following the instructions, please hire a licensed electrician.
