Description
SMLIGHT Wi-Fi IR Controller SLWF-12
The SLWF-12 is a compact Wi-Fi board built around the ESP8266, with an IR transmitter, an IR receiver, and a USB/UART converter all on one board. Point it at anything that responds to an infrared remote, such as TVs, air conditioners, soundbars, amplifiers, fans, or projectors, and bring it into Home Assistant.
Key Features
Transmit and Receive
The IR transmitter and IR receiver share a single board, which lets you capture the codes from an existing remote and play them straight back.
Capture & Playback
Learn commands from the remotes you already own, then replay them on a schedule, from a dashboard, or as part of an automation.
Runs ESPHome
ESPHome-compatible firmware integrates the board directly with Home Assistant. It also supports custom ESP8266 builds, along with an optional AC Bridge firmware for air-conditioner control.
Built-In USB-to-UART
An onboard CH340N converter lets you flash the board over USB without an external programmer.
DIY Expansion
GPIO, an ADC input, UART TX/RX, 3.3 V and 5 V rails, Reset, and GND are exposed for adding sensors, buttons, external modules, and other modifications.
