SMLIGHT USB-to-LAN Adapter SLZB-U2L
SMLIGHT's SLZB-U2L is a compact USB-to-network gateway that makes your USB smart-home radio adapter reachable by any server on your LAN. It does so wirelessly over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, but it can also be wired over Ethernet (with the use of this add-on). This lets you place the radio where it performs best, without having to move the server that controls it.
Key Features
All Your Dongles in One Place
Connect several USB sticks, but only one passes through to your server at a time, and you choose which one in the web interface. Two CP2102-based dongles can run simultaneously, with more combinations coming in firmware updates.
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi
Built-in, for a fully wireless install straight out of the box.
Optional Add-on Modules
- Ethernet (W5500): Adds a wired 10/100 RJ45 network port for a stable, interference-free connection.

A fast, encrypted tunnel to reach the bridge and its radio securely from anywhere, or to place a bridge at a remote location.

A built-in dynamic DNS keeps the device reachable even when your ISP changes your IP address.
Scripts & Automations
Run logic directly on the device, such as scheduling tasks, reacting to events, and automating housekeeping.
OTA Updates
Perform one-click over-the-air updates on both SLZB-OS and ESPHome.
ESPHome Supported
If you prefer open source end-to-end, then you can flash ESPHome for USB host, USB-UART passthrough, and Bluetooth Proxy.

How it Works
- Plug your stick into the box. The USB stick that runs your smart lights, plugs and sensors goes straight into the box. There's room for a spare stick too. Just choose which stick is the active one on the box's web page.
- Connect the box to your home network. Join your Wi-Fi, or run a regular network cable to your router using the Ethernet add-on, whichever you prefer. That's the whole installation.
- Everything works like before, only better. Your smart-home system finds the stick over the network and carries on as usual. The box can sit anywhere in the house, so put it where the signal is best.
Notes
- Ethernet, PoE, and 4G are optional modules. The base unit only connects over Wi-Fi and USB.

Only one USB device works at a time, two if both dongles use CP2102 chipset. You can connect several USB dongles at once, but only one is passed through to your server at a time; you have to select the active device in the web interface. Two dongles can work simultaneously only when both are based on the CP2102 chip. Support for more combinations is being expanded through firmware updates.
