SMLIGHT SMHUB
The SMHUB is a professional-grade control hub running a Linux-based system that can host apps locally. It works seamlessly with smart home platforms like Home Assistant, and it can also expose Zigbee devices directly to Google Home or Apple Home, with no additional hubs required.
Key Features
All-in-One Hub
Unlike a plain coordinator, the SMHUB runs Zigbee2MQTT, Matterbridge, and Node-RED all locally right out of the box. Pair and manage devices right on the hub, then connect to Home Assistant, or run it standalone with no external controller at all. Note: Home Assistant itself runs on your own server, never on the hub.
Multi-Radio Support
Unlike single-purpose USB dongles or hubs limited to one radio, the SMHUB comes with multi-radio support built-in: Zigbee, Thread/Matter-over-Thread, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Optional radio add-ons are available for Z-Wave and 4G/LTE.
Two Zigbee / Thread Radios
Carries two independent radios - a TI CC2652P and a Silicon Labs EFR32MG21. Use them as two Zigbee coordinators, a Zigbee network plus a Thread border router, or a primary and a parallel/redundant network.
Expose Zigbee to Matter
Matterbridge runs on the hub, reads devices paired through Zigbee2MQTT and exposes them as Matter devices on your local network, allowing your Zigbee gear to appear in ecosystems that don't normally communicate with Zigbee.
Flexible Power Options
Power it via USB-C, PoE (with module), or UPS backup (with module).
Linux-Based System
A professional-grade smart control hub running a Linux-based system, expandable with local apps such as MQTT broker and WireGuard.
Ambilight & Visual Effects
The built-in WS2812B LED strip and service LEDs don't just show system status, they can also be set to match the atmosphere of the room.
Optional Add-On Modules
- Z-Wave: Adds 700/800-series controller functionality with Z-Wave Long Range and S2 security. Run Z-Wave JS UI locally and expose the network to Home Assistant.
- 4G/LTE: Adds Cat-1 mobile connectivity with GSM/EDGE fallback with a SIM slot, turning the SMHUB into a self-contained gateway, allowing it to serve as a primary link for remote sites or a backup when the wired connection drops.

PoE (802.3af): A single Ethernet run provides both data and power to the hub, with no separate adapter required, ideal for ceiling or wall mounts.
- UPS Module: 2 x 18650 cells, solar-ready with multi-input charging over an SPI interface, to keep the hub and its networks alive through a power cut.
