Aqara Door and Window Sensor T1

The Aqara Door and Window Sensor T1 monitors the open/close status of doors, windows, drawers, mailboxes and more, notifying you whenever they’re opened. Compact, easy to install, and powered by a single CR1632 battery that can last up to two years.

Key Features

Zigbee 3.0 Certified

The T1 is Zigbee 3.0 certified, offering a more reliable connection than the original model.

Open/Close Monitoring

Detects the status of doors and windows by measuring the distance between the sensor’s internal magnets.

Real-Time Notifications

Turn on alarm mode when you leave home or go to sleep, and you’ll get notified whenever the door or window is opened.

Create Scenes

Pair the sensor with other smart home devices to trigger custom scenes. For example, opening your front door in the evening can automatically signal a smart switch to turn on the lights.

Maximum Versatility

Works for more than just doors and windows. Also compatible with drawers, mailboxes, AC units, and other surfaces.

OTA Updates

Keep your device up to date with over-the-air updates.

Works well with Home Assistant. It paired easily using ZHA Integration.

The sensor reports open/closed state and battery life.

I am using it on refrigerator doors to alert if a door is left open.

    Product was shipped fast, too.

  2. Stephen O (verified owner)

Love these little guys. I have 4 in active use and I just ordered another 3. They are responsive, look good and are fairly small.

I have one of them above my most used exit and after 3 months its at 56%. It appears that the battery life is about 6 months for active use and slightly longer for less used doors/windows

For really hard to reach places, or very active sensors, I would still do an ESP8266 and a reed sensor since you plug those in
